Missouri: St. Louis
We spent two nights in town, visited the zoo, the arch, and Union Station. We liked St. Louis a lot and topped it all off with some local gooey butter cookies. Yum!

Utah: Monument Valley
We visited the towering mesas of Monument Valley, remained hydrated in the near 100° heat, and are on our way to Albuquerque!

Arizona: Hoover Dam
Our first stop this morning was the Hoover Dam, right on the border of Nevada and Arizona. Did you know that at least a significant amount of Los Angeles's power comes from the dam? Wow!
Up next, we trek through Arizona on our way to Monument Valley.
Nevada: Las Vegas
Of course, our first priority was the buffet, which we duly massacred. Afterward, we wandered the strip and and spent the night at Lake Mead. Soon, we head to the Painted Desert and Monument Valley!

Nevada: Area 51
We drove over 100 miles north of Las Vegas and took a back road to the world's most secure military base. We stopped 300 feet from the gate, snapped a few photos, collected a few rocks, and took off.

California: UCLA
We took a walk through UCLA's campus after stopping at the Diddy Riese cookie and ice cream shop. UCLA was beautiful, and we especially liked its sculpture garden. Robin's friend Kay even made an appearance!
